Boat Launch

Update May 9, 2023

A community meeting was held to work towards resolving this ongoing issue of access to the existing boat launch. The meeting included the results of an archeological impact study and the path forward.

At this time the landowners of the Cemetery (Cobequid Road United Baptist Church) have decided on an interim basis to limit trail access to walking not vehicular traffic as they deliberate a final decision.

The gated entrance along First Lake Drive will not be accessible as a public boat launch or motorized vehicles of any kind with the exception of emergency vehicles.

Boaters take heed:

– DROP OFF ONLY – Access point First Lake Drive

– No parking is permitted on MacIntyre Road or in the Cobequid Road United Baptist Church parking lot.

– Vehicles must be parked so that they do not obstruct other vehicles in Sucker Brook Road’s parking area.
